Don Walker Ezell, 69, of Henderson, died on July 12, 2015 at Lucy Smith King Hospice Care Center in Henderson. He was born in Henderson on August 25, 1945 to the late Smith H. Ezell and Betty Thornberry Ezell. He graduated from Henderson City High School in 1963. He retired after over 22 years of service from Eaton Corporation as a Quality Engineer, he was a member of Bennett Memorial Methodist Church, and was an avid UK Wildcats fan. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two half sisters, Emma Trent and Ruth White, his half brother Tony Ezell. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Lou Ezell from Henderson, his son Jeff (Sheryl) Ezell of Henderson, grandchildren, Kendall Ezell of Henderson, Laura (Nick) Crawley of Evansville, IN, Kevin Jolly of Okinawa Japan, great grandson Henry Crawley of Evansville IN, several nieces and nephews, and a God grandson, Joseph Lansden. Funeral services will be on Thursday, July 16, 2015 at 2:00 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with the Reverend Wayne Burt officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday, July 15 from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Pallbearers will be Slade Hargis, Robert Earl Slaughter, Joseph Lansden, Larry Trent, Anthony Trent and Robert A. Slaughter. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrell Richardson, Sonny Richardson, Terry Richardson, Jodie Thornberry and Tommy Thornberry. The family would like to especially thank Dr. Ziegler and her staff for the medical care they provided and also St. Anthony’s Lucy King Smith Care Center.
