Donald Ray Boles

Donald Ray Boles, 82, of Providence, KY, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2024, at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson.

He was born in McLean County, KY on July 22, 1941, to the late Lester and Evalee (Gossett) Boles.

Donald dedicated 43 years of service at Texas Gas before retiring. With his love of horses, he was always a cowboy at heart.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Vicky (Nance) Boles; brother, Hugh “Shorty” Boles; and sister, Sharon Edwards.

Survivors include his children, Stephanie Boles, Suzanne Skinner (Frank), Stacey Ethington, Donna Vandygriff (Rodney), and Benjamin Boles (Sandi); eight grandchildren, Haylee Smith (Cody), Jordan Vandygriff (Stephanie), Levi Vandygriff (Cynta), Grace Vandygriff, Tate McGregor (Hannah), Carmen McGregor, Kate Revell (Josh), and Alex Brooks (Sydney); 13 great-grandchildren, Kindra, Tori, Amelia, Abel, Silas, Maddox, Andrew, Audrey, Dorothy, Nolan, Kole, Macie, and Hazel; brother, Randall Boles (Paula); sister, Annette Thomasson (Tommy); and beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 29 at Onton United Methodist Church with Rev. Marty Robertson officiating, assisted by Bro. Ronnie Highland.

Burial will follow in Onton Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the church Saturday, June 29 from 9 a.m. until service time.
