Donald Wayne Chandler, 73, of Sebree, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, January 23, 2025.
Donald was a member of Calvary Life Center in Sebree where he had served on the board for Deacons and Elders for over 30 years. He was a devoted husband, father, and popaw who loved God, his family, and his church family above anything else. He retired from Century Aluminum after 32 years of service, working as a carbon setter on the potlines. He farmed for many years and loved spending time at the family farm.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond Eugene and Mary Cleo Chandler; his sister, Judy Coomer, and his brother, Vernon Chandler.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Ann Chandler; daughter, Leann Alstadt (JJ); grandsons, Aiden Alstadt and Thomas Stone; brother, Jim Chandler (Connie); brother-in-law, Donnie Powell, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Funeral services will be on Monday, January 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at Tomblinson Funeral Home, Sebree Chapel with Bro. Johnny McCurry and Bro. Nolan Gillenwater officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole, KY.
Visitation will be on Sunday, January 26, 2025, from 3:00-8:00 PM and on Monday, January 27, 2025 from 9:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Tim Duncan, Titus Duncan, Jaiden Powell, Jace Powell, Mike Chandler, Jeff Powell, and Aiden Alstadt. Honorary bearers are Billy Joe Lee, Mike Austin, Tommy Cobb, and Phil Stagner.
Memorial contributions can be made to Calvary Life Center.
