Dora Evelyn Powell

Mrs. Evelyn Powell, of Sebree went home to be with her Lord and Savior and to be reunited with her loving husband Carvel and Son, Randal Lee and family members. Evelyn was born in McLean County February, 28th 1931. She and her her husband were members of the Sebree Mission all there their married life. She was dedicated to her Lord and Savior and spent much of her time her in prayer for her family, friends and loved ones. She loved working on the farm and her garden, taking care of her roses, mowing her lawn, watching her grandkids play, quilting and making things for her family and friends. Evelyn was employed at General Electric in Owensboro, as line welder until she met the love of her life and moved to Webster County to marry Carvel Powell on June 23, 1951. She was retired lunchroom manger in the Webster County School system, working at Sebree, Elementary for 35 years. She was was known for her famous Sebree School Rolls and still enjoyed making them for family and friends. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and all that knew her.She leaves behind to cherish her memories, daughter Ann Chandler (husband Donald) of Sebree one son Donald Powell of Robards Ky.; two granddaughters Monica Duncan (husband Tim) of Dixon KY, LeAnn Alstadt (Husband Jason) of Sebree Ky.; grandson Jeff Powel (Sarah) of Sebree Ky great grandchildren; Taylor, Haley, Titus, Tucker, Jaiden, Jace, Aiden, Thomas, Delani, Abby and Mackenzie; great great grandson, Avery and several Cousins. Funeral Service will be 2:00 PM Tuesday May 15, 2018 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Sebree Kentucky with Brother Mark Compton and Brother Thornton Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Shady Grove Cemetery in Poole Ky. Visitation will be 4 PM- 8PM Monday May 14, 2018 at the Funeral Home and on Tuesday 9:00 AM until Service time.
