Doris Grossman

Doris (Green) Grossman went to be with the Lord at 11:45 AM Sunday July 29, 2012. She was a resident at Redbanks Nursing Home. She was born July 19, 1925 in Henderson County to the late Charles Edward and Hazel (Jarrell) Green. She was a homemaker and bookkeeper for Henderson Paint and Glass and also Homecrafters. Doris was a lifetime member of the Geneva Baptist Church, Women’s Mission Union (WMU) and Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband John F. Grossman. She is survived by two sons: Gary F. Grossman and wife Freida of Henderson Alan Grossman and wife Pam of Corydon One brother: Vernon Green of Geneva One sister: Janet Gregory of Nashville, TN Five grandchildren: Michele Blackwell, David Grossman, Dana Ford, Donna Mathias and Debra Hines. Four step grandchildren: Shawn Smith, Dana Lancaster, Chris Smith and Jonathan Smith. Five great grandchildren 10 great step grandchildren Four nieces and nephews Services will be Wednesday 11:00 AM at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. D. T. Fulkerson and Ken Foster will officiate. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday 4:00 PM-8:00 PM and Wednesday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be David Grossman, Brian Blackwell, Joe Ford, Shawn Smith, Chris Smith and Jonathan Smith. Memorial contributions may be made to the Geneva Baptist Church.
