Doris Louise Poston

Doris Louise (Grabert) Poston, 83, of Calvert City, Kentucky formerly of Sebree, passed away Sunday, August 9, 2015 at 5:49AM at the Convalescent Center in Calvert City, KY. She was a member of Poole Missionary Baptist Church and former member of First Baptist Church of Sebree, KY. She served as a Sunday School teacher and director of WMU for many years at both churches. She was also a homemaker, gardener, and quilter She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Louise Grabert of Mt. Vernon, Indiana and her husband of 58 years, Richard Poston. They lived near Sebree, KY for over 50 years. Survivors include three sons: Robert Poston and his wife, Pam, of Enfield, IL, Raymond Poston and his wife, Sue, of Elizabethtown, KY Randy Poston and his wife, Audrey, of Calvert City, KY. 8 grandchildren: Stacy Phillips and her husband, Jeff, of Norris City, IL, Laura Walker and her husband, Nicholas, of Jackson, TN, Kimberly Morrow, and her husband, Bryan, of Monticello, IL, Liz Wellington and her husband, Walker, of Milan, TN, Jarrett Poston, and his wife, Stephanie, of San Jose, CA, Victoria Slaughter and her husband, Michael, of Berea, KY Kathryn and Olivia Poston of Calvert City, KY. 7 great-grandchildren: Molly, Madison, and Mary Morrow of Monticello, Jalynn Phillips of Norris City, Davis and Emerson Wellington of Milan, and Mack Walker of Jackson. Services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday August 12, 2015 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Pastor Bryan Morrow and Gary Puryear will officiate. Burial will be in Salem United Church of Christ Cemetery in Evansville, IN. Visitation will be Wednesday 9:30AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Jarrett Poston, Steve McCarty, Bob McIndo, Rodney Newton, Walker Wellington and Nicholas Walker.
