Doris Louise “Sissy” Wilson, 85, of Henderson passed away Wednesday June 20, 2018 at her home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. She was born in Rumsey, Kentucky on May 2, 1933 to the late Hugh and Maude (Austin) Yankee.She was married to the love of her life Ernest Wilson for 54 years. Sissy owned Doris’ Hair Fashion in Evansville, co-owned Sassy Samples and Bo-Ti Embroidery both in Henderson. No words can ever begin to do justice to the one who bore and made us what we are. One thing is for sure; there is no love like a mother’s love! In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 1 son Michael Hill. Survivors include 1 daughter Tonya Moore of Henderson, 1 sister Jean Foster of Henderson, 5 Grandchildren Shannon Hill (Megan), Kyler Wilson (Lara), Eric Wilson (Kevin), Ashley Wilson, Whitney Wilson, 7 great-grandchildren Darian Hill, Lily Hill, Evie Hill, Ayden Wilson, Isabella Wilson, Avery Lewis, Quentin Hill, 1 niece Denice Healey (Kevin), 1 nephew Stephen Foster (Penni). Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday June 24, 2018 at Fairmont Cemetery Chapel with entombment to follow. Rev. Coni Beck will officiate. Visitation will be Sunday 1:00 PM until service time at Fairmont Cemetery Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice. Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson is handling arrangements.
