Dorothy Gail Brown

Dorothy Gail (Osborne) Brown, 74 of Smith Mills, passed away Thursday June 26, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was born July 25, 1939 in Ashland, KY to Clarence Osborne and Bessie (Duke) Cates. She had worked as a bookkeeper for Ashland Oil and was a member of Audubon Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-father Jessie Cates. She is survived by her husband of 45 years Donald Brown of Smith Mills 1 daughter: Kimberly Payne and her husband Tommy of Henderson 2 brothers 2 grandchildren: Sarah Payne and Andrew Payne Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday June 28 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Dr. Hollis Marshall will officiate. Visitation will be 9:30 AM until funeral service at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Tommy Payne, Sarah Payne, Andrew Payne, Chris Rhodes, Paul Taylor and Randall LaPradd. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
