Dorothy “Mammie” (Rideout) Carroll, 82 of Henderson passed away 10:10 AM, February 28, 2015 at St. Anthony’s Lucy Smith King Care Center. She was born December 2, 1932 in Henderson to Elmer and Emma (Bristow) Rideout. Dorothy was a member of Eastview Baptist Church and loved coaching and playing softball. She loved crafting, bingo, fishing and singing in the choir. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bruce Carroll, daughter Joyce Williams and brothers and sisters. She is survived by her son James Carroll and his wife Debbie of Henderson 5 grandchildren: Michelle Bumpus, Stephanie Carroll, Andrea Utterback, Damon Winters and Jenae Salaiz. 7 great grandchildren: Kelsie Bumpus, Dathan Winters, Cameron Utterback, Hailey Winters, Taylor Utterback, Jason Winters and Mason Winters. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, March 4, 2015 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Pastor Donnie Risley will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 4:00 PM- 8:00 PM Tuesday and 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
