Eddie Williams

Eddie Williams, 69, of Henderson, Kentucky passed away at 1:10 AM Friday December 16, 2011 at his home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. He was born in Henderson to Donald and Inez (Skaggs) Williams on May 11, 1942. He was an auto mechanic and a Vietnam Army Veteran. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal for Valor, Good Conduct Medal, Vietnamese Defense Medal, Vietnamese Campaign Medal, National Defense Medal and a Purple Heart. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother Frank Williams. His is survived by his wife Lou Williams of Henderson, Kentucky Daughter: Teresa Burch of Henderson, Kentucky 2 Grandchildren: Brandon Powell and wife Sarah of Henderson, Kentucky Brandy Jenkins and husband Scott of Henderson, Kentucky 4 Great-Grandchildren: Amber Jenkins, Payton Jenkins, Logan Jenkins and Hunter Powell Services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday December 18, 2011 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Dave Latham will officiate. Visitation will be Saturday 3-8 PM and Sunday 10:00 AM until service time. Military rites will be performed 2:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home by American Legion Post #40 Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
