Edgar Willoughby of Henderson, KY passed away at 1:07 a.m. at the Lucy Smith King hospice center. Mr. Willoughby was 88 years old. He was born on February 16, 1932 in Grayson County, KY to the late Clones Graften and Donnie Lee (Porter) Willoughby. He was a dedicated child of God who loved Jesus Christ and His truth and dedicated his life to the keeping of His will. He was a member of the Northwest Church of Christ in Evansville, IN. Mr. Willoughby joined the Army in 1952 and served two years in the Korean War. He was a sergeant, tank driver and gunner. For many years he worked at the Earle C. Clements Job Corp in Morganfield, KY influencing countless young men. In 1955 he married Ruby Lucille Adams of Ohio County, a Proverbs 31 woman. They had three children; Rebecca Jean, Edgar Wayne, and Joseph Mark. They were married until Mrs. Willoughby’s death in August of 2004. They were married 49 years. In Oct of 2005 Mr. Willoughby married Wilma Jean Smith of Daviess County, also a Proverbs 31 woman and a blessing to the whole family. They were married for 15 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruby Lucille Adams, two sisters, and two brothers. Mr. Willoughby is survived by his wife, Wilma; daughter, Becky (John) Trout; sons Eddie (Rosie) and Joey (Amy); eight grandsons, Brandon (Crystal) Trout, Blake (Tayler) Willoughby, Lee (Amanda) Trout, Jordan Willoughby, Wesley Willoughby, Isaac Willoughby, Jeremy Huff, and Kainin Bryant; four granddaughters, Ruby, Micah and Skylar Willoughby and Jennifer Mack; 11 great grandchildren; three brothers, Willis, Arlie (Judy), and Junior; and nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, December 27 at Porter Cemetery in Yeaman, KY. Tomblinson Funeral Home, Henderson Chapel is entrusted with arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made in the form of donations to Lucy Smith King Care Center.
