Edmond "Eddie" Sights

Edmond “Eddie” Sights, a beloved father, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice on August 25, 2024. He was surrounded by his devoted daughter, Christy Overfield and grandchildren Macey and Dalton, in his final moments.

Born in Henderson to the late Elward Sights and Zillie Elizabeth Gafford, Eddie was a proud US Marine and a skilled body shop technician. His passions included riding his Harley and spending time with his faithful family and his dog King. He loved people and was always ready to welcome everyone with open arms.

Eddie was preceded in death by his cherished wife, Jacqueline Sights; his daughter, Amy Sights; and his siblings Dennis Sights, Judy Shekell, and Larry Sights.

He is survived by his daughter, Christy Overfield; his siblings Rick Gafford, Elward “Tinker” Sights, Terry Kinkade and Teresia Makar; his grandchildren Macey Overfield, Dalton Overfield, Rylee Julian, Chloe Julian, and Garret Julian; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Eddie’s memory will be cherished by all who knew him. His legacy of love, service, and dedication will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
