Edward Leroy Cobb, 86 of Sebree, KY passed away at 2:55 AM Saturday August 31, 2013 at his residence. He was born in Detroit, Michigan on May 2, 1927 to the late Amon H. and Oma (Crowley) Cobb. Leroy was retired from Texas Gas Slaughters Station. He was a member of Sebree United Methodist Church, a WWII Navy Veteran and was the owner of The Purple Opry in Sebree. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 2 brothers; Madison H. Cobb and Edsel Cobb. He is survived by his wife; Crystal Cobb 3 children; Judy Pillow and husband Gene of Madisonville, KY Marcia Jackson and husband Mike of Sebree, KY Matt Cobb of Slaughters, KY 1 sister; Kathleen Martin of Huntsville, AL 3 Grandchildren; Amy Wortham and husband Mike, Melissa Grace and husband Curtis, and Matt Amon Cobb. 4 Great Grandchildren; Kaitlyn Wortham, Sarah Wortham, Ethan Grace and Corey Grace. Nieces and Nephews also survive. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday Sept. 4, 2013 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel. Rev. Stan Strader, Rev. Jim Shuck and Rev. Gene Pillow will officiate. Burial will follow in Slaughters Cemetery will full military honors. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Wednesday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
