Elson Emory Scott, 83, of Slaughters passed away at his home 10:30 A.M. Monday Aug. 4, 2008 at his home. He was born to Noble and Sina Lou (Wilson) Scott September 30, 1924 in Webster County. He was a WWII veteran and a member of DAV. He was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son Jerry Allen Scott, 5 brothers: Ben, JC., David, Elmo, and Bill Scott; 4 sisters: Cordia Phillips, Jessie Sullivan, Elizabeth Scott, Joanne Griffin; 1 grandchild, William Scott Jones, and 1 great-grandchild Brenden Jones. He is survived by his wife Helen (Newton) Scott of Slaughters 3 sons: Wayne Scott of Slaughters, KY Roger Scott of Madisonville, KY Don Scott of Slaughters, Ky 3 daughters: Jean Jones of Slaughters. KY Criscella Jones of Madisonville, KY Renae Huck of Slaughters, KY 2 sisters: Betty Clark of Hanson, KY Gearldine Denton of Onton, KY 17 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Services will be Thursday August 7, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel in Slaughters, KY. Bro. Ron Hendricks will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery in Onton, KY. Visitation will be Wed. Aug.6. 2008 from 5-8 P.M. and Thurs. Aug. 7, 2008 from 9-until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Eddie Scott, Mike Scott, Wesley Scott, Shawn Scott, Kevin Scott and Heath Jones. Honorary pallbearer will be Troy Jones
