Emmett Sylvester Beasley

Emmett Sylvester Beasley, 103 of Reed, KY passed away at 8:30 AM Tuesday September 22, 2015 at Redbanks Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree, KY. He was born in Henderson County, KY on September 19, 1912 to the late William Ambrose and Susie Ann (Morris) Beasley. He was a farmer, truck driver and had owned a store in Beals. Emmett graduated from Spottsville High School where he played basketball. He also attended Western KY University. He had attended New Hope Baptist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Bessie Sue (Tackett) Beasley, son David Beasley, 2 sisters; Cornelia Hollis and Emma Cravens, brothers; J.L, James, Carl and Ambrose Beasley. He is survived by a daughter-in-law; Ginny Beasley of Reed, KY 2 Grandsons; Nathanael Beasley of Lexington, KY Aaron Beasley of Reed, KY Nieces and Nephews. Services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday September 25, 2015 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Nathanael Beasley, Rev. J. W. Haire, and Rev. Byron Williams will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Zion Church Cemetery in Reed. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 until 8:00 and Friday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
