Ernest Wilson went to be home with the Lord on Saturday June 25, 2011. He was at home surrounded by his family. He was in the automobile industry for over 40 years, including 35 years with D-Patrick where he worked his way up to Vice President. After retirement, he continued to work in his passion at Tradition Auto Sales and Alvey Auto. His greatest accomplishment is his marriage of 53 years to his companion and best friend, Doris and the closeness of his children and grandchildren. He was born in Henderson County on April 30, 1933 to Earnest and Katherine (Griffith) Wilson. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He was preceded in death by his parents Step-son Michael Hill Sister Imogene Beauchamp He is survived by his wife Doris Louise (Yankee) Wilson of Henderson Daughter Tonya and husband Darrell Moore of Henderson 4 grandchildren: Ashley Wilson of Henderson Whitney Wilson of Henderson Kyler Wilson of Orlando, FL Shannon Hill of Calhoun, KY 4 great-grandchildren: Ayden Wilson Darian Hill Lillian Hill Evie Hill Services will be 11 AM Wednesday June 29, 2011at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Entombment will be at Fairmont Mausoleum. Full military rites will be performed by American Legion Post 40 Honor Guard. Visitation will be 3-8PM Tuesday June 28 and 9AM until service time Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Pastor Chuck Tidd will officiate. Pallbearers will be: Mike Jackson, Rich Alvey, Ricky Houston, Kriss White, Chase White, Stephen Foster, Stevin Houston, and Robert Aldinger In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
