Ernestine Carlisle

Ernestine Carlisle, 82, of Evansville passed away Thursday October 26, 2017 at Deaconess Hospital Midtown.  She was born in Ashbyburg, Kentucky on June 6, 1935 to the late Ova and Dora (Young) Carlisle.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 1 son David Schmahlenberger, 1 sister Ruth Stambush and 1 brother Roger Carlisle.  Survivors include 6 children Allen Ray Schmahlenberger, Tony Jay Schmahlengberger, Brenda Stevens, Debra Dean all of Evansville, Jimmy Pierce of Madisonville, Jeff Pierce of Evansville, 1 aunt Jean Langford of Evansville, several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.  Services will be noon Wednesday November 1, 2017 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel.  Dr. Bob Hardison will officiate.  Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.  Pallbearers will be Dustin Pierce, Jimmy Pierce, Michael Cunningham, David Stevens, Jim Dean and Ron Webb.  Honorary pallbearer will be Tony Stevens.
