Ervin Warren Dennis

Ervin Warren Dennis passed away at 5:00 AM on October 31, 2010. Ervin stayed with his daughter and caregiver, Melinda (Thomas) Evans in Evansville, IN. He was 89 years old. Ervin was born on September 23, 1921 to Warren and Sarah Dennis in Newburgh, IN. Survivors include: Melinda (Thomas) Evans of Evansville, IN, Alice Meece of Newburgh, IN, Warren E. (Sue) Dennis of Daytona Beach, FL and Ronald E. Dennis of Sebree. He has 7 grandchildren, Brett, Sheri, David, Jessica, Emily, Sarah and Amanda,. 15 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren, one brother Donald Hill and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his caring wife of 66 years, Mary who passed on November 30, 2007, and brothers Reuben, Marvin and sisters Alberta, , Erma, and Wilma. Ervin had one grandson, Scott Meece that passed on October 17, 1982. In the ‘50’s he was a dairy farmer in Holland, IN. Ervin retired from Bucyrus-Erie after 32 years and in his later life enjoyed farming and gardening. He was a member of the Sebree General Baptist Church for over 35 years. Services will be 11:00 AM Wednesday November 3, 2010 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Dr. Bob Hardison will officiate. Visitation will be 4:00 PM-8:00 PM Tuesday November 2 and 9:00 AM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.
