Esther Lee Jackson, born on May 8, 1937, in Connersville, Indiana, passed away peacefully on August 4, 2025, at Deaconess Hospital in Henderson, Kentucky, surrounded by her loving family.
Esther was a dedicated teacher's aide at Sebree Elementary School for many years, where she touched the lives of countless students. Alongside her beloved husband, Kenneth Jackson, with whom she shared 55 wonderful years, she played an active role in flipping houses and fostering deep relationships with the renters who admired her greatly. Her sweet and compassionate spirit shone brightly, as she consistently put the needs of others before her own.
A devoted member of Living Waters Church of God in Madisonville, Kentucky, Esther was always eager to share her faith in Jesus and served as a committed prayer warrior within her community. Her love for her church was profound, and she embodied the kindness and faith that she cherished deeply.
Esther deeply loved her family, taking immense pride in their accomplishments. She is survived by her four children: Mike (Marcia) Jackson of Sebree, Kentucky; Linda (Rev. Jim) McDaniel of Fordsville, Kentucky; Jeff (Lisa) Jackson of Cleveland, Tennessee; and Rev. David (Leigh Ann) Jackson of Madisonville, Kentucky. Her legacy includes six grandchildren: Dr. Brent (Leslie) McDaniel of Henderson, Kentucky; Cortney (Tim) Brown of Hawesville, Kentucky; Dr. Joshuah (Amy) Jackson of Spring City, Tennessee; Dr. Josef Jackson of Chicago, Illinois; Jordan Jackson of Madisonville, Kentucky; and Chloe Jackson of Madisonville, Kentucky. Esther also cherished the joy brought by her ten great-grandchildren: Brock, Jackson, and Elizabeth McDaniel; Wyatt and Lynnlee Brown; Aeden, Caroline, and Declan Jackson; and Ruby and Lena Jackson.
In addition to her family, Esther is survived by two sisters, Louella Pace of Madisonville, Kentucky, and Ruth (Donnie) Brooks of Slaughters, Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her father George T. "Jack" Robinson, mother and step-father, Myrtle Hatton Jackson and Wayne Jackson, her beloved husband Kenneth, as well as her sisters Lila Patton, and Lillie Reams, and her brothers Charles Robinson and Devine Robinson.
Esther leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of love and faith that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, including her devoted dog, Buddy. Her compassionate spirit and the warmth she offered to others will be remembered fondly by all who had the privilege of calling her family, friend, or neighbor.
Services will be 1:00 PM Saturday August 9, 2025 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Reverends David Jackson and Jim McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in Springdale Cemetery.
Visitation will be Friday 4-8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Brent McDaniel, Jordan Jackson, Joshuah Jackson, Jackson McDaniel, Brock McDaniel, Cortney Brown and Chloe Jackson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Wyatt Brown, Josef Jackson and Donnie Brooks.
