Esthonia Jackson Edwards

Esthonia Edwards (90) passed away on December 6, 2015 at the VNA Charlier Hospice Center. She was born in Onton, Ky to Whitfield and Mamie Jackson. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, John Kenneth, November of 1999 after 56 years of marriage, 5 brothers; Hugh Jackson, Joe J. Jackson, Walter Punk Jackson, and James Whit Jackson, one sister; Jeannelle Tomlingson. She was a member of St. James West Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for 50 years and she was a member of the Eastern Star. Mrs. Edwards retired from Whirlpool in 1988 after 42 years. She enjoyed her family, gardening, and outdoors activities. She is survived by three children, James Durand Edwards (Marcy) of Newburgh, In., Diane Cobb of Grand Prairie, Tx. and Kenneth Malvern Edwards (Vickie) of Corinth, Tx. She has five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 11:30 AM Wednesday December 9, 2015 at Pierre Funeral Home with Ryan Edwards officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30 am until service time at the Pierre Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 2:00 PM Springdale Cemetery in Sebree, Ky. Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel is handling arrangements. Pallbearers will be Troy Tomlingson, Ronald Tomlingson, Michael Tomlingson, Anthony Jackson, Grady Peady and Tom Johnson. The family requests memorial contributions be made to Charlier Hospice at 610 Walnut Street in Evansville, In 47713.
