December 20, 1932 — March 1, 2026

Etta Gibson Nesbitt (Mary) 93, of Henderson, and formerly of Bat Cave, North Carolina passed peacefully into her eternal rest on Sunday March 1, 2026 under the care of St. Anthony's Hospice and Redbanks.

Mary Etta was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church in Henderson. Mary retired from A T & T after 32 years of service. She and her husband were the owners of A E Nesbitt Woodworks in Bat Cave, North Carolina, for 35 years, building custom hardwood furniture and accessories . They traveled the east coast attending Fine Arts and Craft festivals displaying and selling their beautiful handmade work.

She was proceeded in death by her husband of 36 years, Arnold Nesbitt; brothers Luther Long, Louis Long, James I. Gibson (Buddy), and a sister, Nellie Coffman.

She is survived by two sons, Winford J. Dukes, Jr. (Marilet), of Kapolei Hawaii, Michael K. Dukes (Ellen), of Corydon, and a brother, Herman Gibson (Nancy), of Nacogdoches, Texas, 6 grandchildren, 14 Great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday March 4, 2026 at Tomblinson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Wednesday 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Louis Cemetery Henderson, Kentucky.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her name to St. Anthony's Hospice or Redbanks.
