Eva Murl Hancock

Eva Murl Hancock, 86, of Beech Grove, passed away January 18, 2019 at Redbanks Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree. She was born July 14, 1932 in Hancock County, Kentucky to James William Jones and Fronia Catherine (Newton) Jones. The family moved to McLean County in 1944 where Eva Murl graduated from Calhoun High School in 1950.  She enjoyed reading, dogs, attending the senior citizens center and was an avid UK fan.  Eva Murl was a farmer involved with cattle, hogs, grain and tobacco crops. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband John Hancock and 2nd husband Cecil Cook.  Eva Murl was the youngest of ten siblings and is survived by 1 sister Zella McCaslin of Calhoun and many nieces and nephews. Services will be 11:00 AM Thursday, January 24, 2019 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel.  Pastor Jason Bumpus will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. The burial will be private.
