Eva Marguriette Poole

Eva Marguriette Poole, 74, of Henderson, passed away Sunday, May 14, 2023 at Deaconess Henderson Hospital.

She was born in Henderson on August 12, 1948 to the late John Doris and Sallie Ellen (Freeman) Poole.

Marguriette worked in produce at Sureway from 1976 – 2009 and was a friend to everyone she met. She was a member of Zion Baptist Church for more than 50 years where she was entrusted to keep the nursery. She enjoyed crocheting and birdwatching, her favorite color was blue, and she absolutely loved chocolate!

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Jo Allgood (Douglas), D.D. Gibson, Arliss “Buddy” Poole, and a baby brother; and her furbaby, Lucy.

She is survived by her sister, Helen Baxter (Lloyd) of Henderson; brother, Lawrence “Butch” Poole (Delilah) of Henderson; brother-in-law, Roy Gibson (the late D.D. Gibson) of Benton, KY; sister-in-law, Ruby Poole (the late Buddy Poole) of Henderson; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 18 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Rev. Jeff Coursey officiating.

Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 17 from 4-8 p.m. and on Thursday, May 18 from 12 p.m. until service time.
