Evadean Mays

Evadean Mays, 90, of Robards, passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at Morganfield Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born in Dixon on July 11, 1932 to the late William and Mollie (Floyd) Winstead.

Evadean worked at Gibbs Die Casting in quality control for 27 years and was a member of Robards Baptist Church. She loved her roses, gardening, farming, quilting, crocheting, sewing, but most of all, her family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Mays; son, John Mays; grandson, Oscar Samuel Mays; and great granddaughter, Raeanna Mays.

She is survived by her children, Brenda Caton (Bill), Owen Mays (Edythe), Darrell Mays, and Roy Mays; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; sister, Catherine Calhoun; and daughter-in-law, Diana Mays Golday (David).

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, November 26 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Bro. Ellis Payne officiating.

Burial will follow at Townsend Cemetery.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, November 25 from 3-7 p.m. and on Saturday, November 26 from 9 a.m. until funeral time.

Pallbearers will be Brad Whitmore, Clay Whitmore, Jack Whitmore, Mayson Whitmore, Tyler Caton, Johnny Mays, and Mollie Mays.

Memorial contributions may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society.
