Evelyn Joan Morgan

March 19, 1935 — April 26, 2023

Evelyn Joan (Gates) Morgan, 88 of Henderson passed away April 26, 2023, Lucy Smith King Care Center surrounded by family.

She was born March 19, 1935, in Vanderburgh County, Indiana to the late Dennis Boyd and Carrie Mae Gates.

Joan was a homemaker and a member of Christadelphian Ecclesia in Zion, where she was a lifelong member.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Howard Morgan; infant son, Steven Morgan; three brothers, Franklin, Emory and Cecil; one sister, Carolyn Chinn; niece, Diane Courtney.

Joan is survived by one son, Michael Morgan (Karen) of Henderson; two grandchildren, Jamie Morgan and Chris Morgan; five great grandchildren; nieces, Linda Meuth (Roger) and Donna Hancock (John) all of Henderson.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. William “Bill” Tucker will officiate with burial in Fernwood Cemetery.

The visitation will be 3:00 PM-7:00 PM, Tuesday and 9:00 Am until service time Wednesday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Morgan, Rick Meuth, Roger Meuth, Kevin Dickerson, A. C. Griffin and Travis Griffin.

Honorary pallbearer will be Nick Christian.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Christadelphian Ecclesia or St. Anthony’s Hospice.
