Everett Lee Stone, Sr., 81, of Henderson, passed away peacefully at his home on May 10, 2025, under the compassionate care of St. Anthony’s Hospice.
Born on July 23, 1943, in Henderson, Kentucky, Everett was the son of the late Robert and Alice Stone.
Everett began his law enforcement career with the Henderson Sheriff’s Department before relocating to Eagleville, Tennessee, where he proudly served as Chief of Police for 30 years.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Roberta Dillard and Linda Graham; and four brothers, Jimmy Stone, Eugene Stone, Owen Stone and Robert Stone.
Everett is survived by his two loving children, Everett “Eddie” Lee Stone, Jr. and Carolyn Riden; his cherished sister, Shirley Wright (Joe); grandchildren Tiffany Ramsey (Eric) and Amanda Tapp (Kieva); and five adoring great-grandchildren, Reese and Raegen Ramsey and Monreya, Seleya, and Kaizah Tapp.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM, Thursday, May 15, 2025 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Bro. Alan Ramsey officiating.
Burial will follow at St. Louis Cemetery.
Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be Eric Ramsey, Brayden Turner, Daryl Pippin, Donnie Nally, Danny Brame, and Cole Tarr.
Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
