Flossie Louise Newton

Flossie Louise (Green) Newton, 89, of Madisonville (formerly of Slaughters) passed away May 28 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. She was born April 3, 1922 in Evansville, In to Alfonzo andd Rose (Ward) Green. She was a homemaker and a member of Zion United Church of Christ in Evansville, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Jack Newton. She is survived by 2 daughters: Gayle Melton and her husband Steve of Slaughters, and Carol Newton of Slaughters, and a step-daughter Judith Samuel of Virginia. 5 grandchildren, 6 great-grandsons, and 1 great-granddaughter. Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday June 1, 2011 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery in Slaughters, KY. Visitation will be 10:00 AM-service time Wednesday June 1, 2011 at the funeral home.
