Fran Louis Whitfield Fran Louis Whitfield age 82 of Madisonville passed away at 2:40 a.m. Saturday 12-1-12 at Baptist Health Madisonville. He was born March 26, 1930 in White City to Iley Melton Whitfield and Rena Whitfield. He was a coal miner and last worked at Cimmeron Coal in Madisonville and attended the General Baptist Church in Madisonville. He is survived by his wife Leona Whitfield of Madisonville, one daughter Barbara Nichols and her husband Douglas of Madisonville, one grandson Eric Nichols of Madisonville, two great-grandchildren, Erika Nichols Mobley and her husband Mitch of Clarksville TN and Hunter Nichols of Dalton. His funeral will be Tuesday 12-4-12 at 2:00 PM at Reid-Walters Funeral Home in Earlington with Bro. Walter Evitts officiating. His burial will be in Forrest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Madisonville. His visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday 12-3-12 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home and from 9:00 a.m. until the service time Tuesday 12-4-12. Pallbearers will be Eric Nichols, Hunter Nichols, Mitch Mobley, Wayne Oldham, Dana Oldham, Johnny Whitfield and the honorary pallbearers will be Eugene Oldham, Gary Masoncup, Marcel DuMoulin and Gerald Shutt.
