Frances Marie Buchanan

Frances Marie Buchanan, 89, of Robards, passed away Tuesday May 27, 2014 at 7:00 PM at Redbanks Colonial Terrace Nursing Home in Sebree. She was born on November 4, 1924 in Henderson County to Alton A. and Annie Elizabeth (Duckworth) Buchanan. Frances was retired from Woolworth/Woolco in Henderson and Owensboro. She was also a member of Cairo United Methodist Church and Cairo Fire Department Auxillary and enjoyed working the polls on Election Day. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 Brothers Arthur Lee Buchanan and Aubrey Reed Buchanan. Survivors include 1 son: Jerry Buchanan and wife Marlena of Robards 1 Sister: Cheryl Vandiver and husband Fred of Henderson 1 Brother: Ronnie Buchanan of Grand Rivers, Kentucky 2 Grandchildren: Jarrod Buchanan and wife Katie of Cary, North Carolina Jason Buchanan and wife Amy of Henderson Step-granddaughter: Valerie Arvin and husband Jason of Henderson 7 Great-grandchildren: Cole Buchanan, Lane Buchanan, Ally Buchanan, Jeremiah Buchanan, Ruth Buchanan, Nick Arvin and Mason Arvin Nieces and Nephews Services will be 11:00 AM Saturday May 31, 2014 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Mark Jones will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Friday 4-8 PM and Saturday 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Cairo United Methodist Church. Pallbearers will be Jarrod Buchanan, Jason Buchanan, Cole Buchanan, Jeremiah Buchanan, Brian Vandiver and Robert Stevenson.
