Franklin Oliver

Frank Oliver, 93, of Henderson, passed away on June 27, 2026, at Redbanks Nursing Home.

Frank was born in Princeton, Kentucky, to the late Otho and Mildred Oliver.

He was a member of Haven Pentecostal Church and proudly served his country in the United States Air Force.

Frank worked in construction for many years before retiring. He later worked for the City of Henderson Road Department before retiring again. Afterward, he joined the Maintenance Department at Redbanks Nursing Home.

Frank loved fishing, spending time outdoors, and sitting in nature while taking in its beauty. He enjoyed listening to music and taking drives along the riverfront. Above all, he loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.

In addition to his parents, Frank was preceded in death by his loving wife, Lois Oliver; his daughter, Lynda Bender; and his brothers, Louis "Hap" Oliver and Travis Oliver.

He is survived by his sons, David Oliver (Lisa), Robert Oliver (Dana), and Frankie Oliver (Amy Hager); his grandchildren, Josh Oliver (Lauren), Melissa Capehart (Nathan), Steven Bender Jr. (Jearn), Sarah Oliver, Jennifer Norman (Heath), Kristen Haile (Ryan), Justin Oliver (Tennille), Kingston Oliver, and Tristan Hager; and his great-grandchildren, Josiah, Daniel, Michael, Elijah, Alexander, Addison, Ayden, Nevaeh, Phoenix, Grayson, Andrew, Lincoln, Baylynn, Gracie, Caleb, Zane, Hunter, Brextan, Madyn, and Hutson.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Chaplain Tim Shockley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery, where military honors will be conducted by the American Legion Worsham Post #40 Honor Guard.

Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson and on Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the hour of service.

Pallbearers will be Josh Oliver, Justin Oliver, Kingston Oliver, Tracy Wallace, Ryan Haile, and Phoenix Adams. Honorary pallbearers will be Hutson Oliver and Andrew Haile.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony's Hospice or Redbanks Nursing Home.
