Gene Ann Majors Warren, aka Anna Belle, Mommie Ann, Mamaw Ann, Little Annie, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at Redbanks Colonial Nursing Home in Sebree, Kentucky after years of living with dementia. Ann was born on August 12, 1935 in Sebree, Kentucky into the loving home of Ted and Mona Majors and her sister, Norma Jo. Ann was married for 62 years and had six children that she loved and was likely irritated by daily. Ann was preceded in death by her loving parents Mona and Ted Majors, her first child Alice Marynett Warren, granddaughter Maya Eleanor Ing An Ly, her husband, and many fur babies that loved their Mama Ann. Ann is survived by five children, Terry Jo (Tom) Burns of Palm Coast, Florida, Candace Dean Warren of Sebree, Kentucky, Susan Marie (Orlando) Ly of Memphis, Tennessee, Richie Ted Warren (Bridget Adams) of Sebree, Kentucky, and Mona Lisa Warren (John Guider) of Nashville, Tennessee. Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday June 19, 2022 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Sebree Chapel with Pastor James Schuck officiating. Burial will be in Springdale Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday 4-7PM and Sunday noon until service time at the funeral home. Ann was a member of Sebree Christian Church during her youth and later attended the Sebree Methodist Church. Some of Ann’s employers included Armor Homes, Stull’s, Ring Around, and the Powell Family. She was trustworthy, honest, and a dedicated employee with a strong work ethic. To our knowledge Ann had no hobbies because she was constantly doing for others. Working to feed and provide for her family. Cooking and cleaning for her family. Encouraging her family to grow, learn, and be good people. Attending and volunteering at the Church for various programs. Loving her parents and helping them as they aged. She was a prayer warrior, always ready to lift others up in prayer for healing, comfort, and strength. She never spoke negatively about anyone. We guess Ann’s hobby was helping others or maybe that was her calling for her life on this planet. Either way, she succeeded in making others feel special and loved. Descriptions of Ann vary by who you ask. Ann was a precious lady with an aura of kindness that surrounded her and lived within her. She was love personified. She knew how to make you look within to see where change was possible and how to make yourself a better person. She had no delusion we were or would be perfect, but she knew the will was there to try and she nurtured it. She was also very honest when she recognized flaws in us but presented it in the best of Motherly ways. She was quite simply an Angel on earth and we acknowledge everyday how incredibly blessed we are to have such a Mother. We love you Mommie Ann and you will live forever in our hearts and memories. We miss you already. To honor Ann’s life we ask that you do an act of kindness for someone you know or a stranger. You may also make a donation to the Sebree United Methodist Church. Help us keep Ann’s generous and loving spirit alive through good deeds, positive attitudes, and loving energy.
