Geneva Lane (Maynard) Bjoralt, 65, of Henderson, passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Deaconess Henderson Hospital, with her family by her side.
She was born in Louisa, Kentucky on July 1, 1959, to the late Marie Tomblin and Dallas Maynard. Geneva was a wonderful Christian who loved the Lord and others with her whole heart. She always had a song for any occasion. Whether it was a gospel song at church, a random song while cooking in the kitchen, or something to entertain her grandchildren, she knew the importance of making your voice heard. She would say, "Sing, sing out loud, so the whole world knows.”
Geneva had a big heart and was a cheerful giver. If anyone was in need of something and she could provide it, it was theirs. She gave for many years to those in need, including helping to establish a legacy of giving through a non-profit, which she inspired, called “Children’s Wishes.” She worked as a legal secretary for many years and was proud of the work she did and the friendships she made along the way.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded by her in-laws, Loyal and Virginia Bjoralt, whom she loved and was loved by. Geneva is also preceded by her twin sister, Anna Jane “AJ” Rucks - who took a part of Geneva’s heart with her 12 years ago - and her sweet brother, Hardin Dallas “Rocky” Maynard, with whom she is playing a good old gospel song with the angels.
She is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, David Michael “Mike” Bjoralt; her children and grandchildren, the lights of her life. Leaving behind two daughters - Amanda Hudson and Jordan (Bjoralt) Webb; one son - Michael Bjoralt (Katelyn); 6 grandchildren - Gracey Hudson, Wyatt Lorenz, Gabe and Mattie Jo Webb, Nona Jane and Lexie Kaye Bjoralt; and 1 great granddaughter - Kenleigh Jane Howard. 2 sisters - Rhoda How and Jan Abbett; 1 brother- Charles Maynard; and a very special Aunt Daisy and Uncle David Pennington from West Virginia; and many other family members who she dearly loved including her fur babies - Willy and Cat Cat.
She was loved by all who knew her heart and will be greatly missed by many. Funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, September 12 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with her dear best friend, Leslie Newman, overseeing the service. Burial will follow at her home church cemetery, Mt. Zion General Baptist Church, in Reed, Kentucky. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday, September 12 from 9:30 a.m. until funeral start at 11:30 a.m.
