George Edward Bentley

George Edward Bentley, 68, of Henderson passed away Wednesday October 11, 2023 at Deaconess Midtown Hospital.

He was born on April 18, 1955 in Henderson to the late Jerry Bentley and Mary Lloyd (Nelson) Brown.

George was a retired Superintendent with the Kentucky Department of Transportation. He was a selfless man with a caring heart. George enjoyed camping and fishing with his sons but above all he was a family man who loved nothing more than spending time with his kids, grandkids and loving wife.

In addition to his biological parents, he was preceded in death by his father LD Brown and one brother Larry Bentley.

Survivors include his wife of 19 years Catina Bentley; eight children Wes Bentley (Deena) of Henderson, Jeff Bentley (Andrea) of California, Kimberly Gay (Robert), Krystal McClure (Phillip) all of Henderson, Johnny Williams of Hoffman Estates, IL, Emily Denton (Toby), Jeremy Bentley, Joni Bentley all of Henderson; four brothers Jerry Bentley, Glenn Bentley (Ann), Joe Bentley (Lisa) all of Henderson, Stanley “Boo” Woodard (Bethany) of Owensboro; 15 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 PM Monday October 16, 2023 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Bro. David Mabrey officiating. Burial will be in Fairmont Cemetery.

Visitation will be Sunday 1-6PM and Monday 11:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Wes Bentley, Jeff Bentley, Johnny Williams, Jeremy Bentley, Glenn Bentley, Jordan Bentley and Chase Gay.
