George Dabbs

George Dabbs, 96 of Henderson passed away Saturday April 9, 2016 at Baptist Health Hospital. He was born January 22, 1920 in Jewell City to Edward and Mary Dabbs. He was a farmer and a U.S. Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Mary (Roberts) Dabbs and his wife Bobbie Jean Dabbs. Survivors include: 2 children Barry Dabbs of Henderson and Ann Vandewater of Sturgis 2 sisters: Faye Dickman and Bea Vandiver both of Evansville 9 grandchildren 1 great-grandchild Nieces and nephews Funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday April 13 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Rev. Dwight Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in Onton Cemetery with military rights conducted by American Legion Worsham Post 40 Honor Guard. Visitation will be 4:00 to 8:00 PM Tuesday and 12:00 PM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Michael Dabbs, Brad Dabbs, Barry Dabbs III, Cody Dabbs, Christopher Groves, and Drew Dabbs. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Henderson Humane Society.
