George "Hennie" Henry Sugg

George Henry Sugg “Hennie”, 88 of Reed passed away June 20, 2023, at St. Anthony’s Lucy Smith King Care Center.

He was born December 22, 1934, in Henderson, KY to the late Audley B. and Effie Sugg.

George was a member of the Carpenters Local 224. He enjoyed woodworking, drag racing rail cars, hunting and fishing. George was a loving dad, grandfather and great grandfather and he loved his dog, Georgia.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his ex-wife Shirley Sugg (2020) and his companion, Anna Butts; siblings, Royace Jennings, Irene Keller, Rebecca Lawrence, Betty Gish, Mary Walker, Ruth Tyre, Hugh Sugg and Mattie Littrell.

He is survived by his two children, Lisa Proctor (Bobby) and Remona Cummings (Terry); four grandchildren, Elizabeth Allen (Justin), George (Chelsea/George’s Woman)Proctor, Terry Cummings and Pamela Boyken; eight great grandchildren, Abby Hailey, Alyssa Autumn, Evie Jo, Bailey, Audrey and Gavin; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, June 24 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel.

Visitation will be 3:00 PM-7:00 PM, Friday and 9:00 AM until service time Saturday at the funeral home.

Bro. Gary Shoulders will officiate. Burial will be at Fairmont Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Justin Allen, George Proctor, Matt Sugg, Darren Lawrence, Darrel Lee Martin and Robert Walker.
