George Lee Holmes, Jr

George Lee Holmes, Jr., 68, of Henderson, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2021 at home. He was born in Henderson on July 15, 1952 to the late George Lee Holmes, Sr. and Nellie (Mauzey) Holmes. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Joyce Tackett and Stella Minton and brothers, Sherman Tackett and Jack Tackett. He is survived by his companion, Martha Glenn of Henderson; children, Jennifer Russelburg (William), Bobbi Jo Nichols (Dillon), Michael Doepp (Shannon Hancock), Douglas Holmes, and Tesa Walker, all of Henderson; brother, Luther Holmes (Rose Mary) of Henderson; 12 grandchildren, Andrew, Logan, Joseph, Tye, Austin, Bayley, Jessika, Seth, Drake, Hunter, Forrest, and Christopher; nine greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, January 27 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Visitation will be on Wednesday, January 27 from 12-2 p.m. at the funeral home.
