George Alan Lorenze

George Alan Lorenze, 70 of Beech Grove, KY passed away on July 18, 2017 at his home.  He was born in Hammond, IN on February 21, 1947 to the late Harold V. Lorenze and June McCarty Lorenze. He was a Vietnam Army Veteran and sergeant in the Engineering Corp.  He was a mechanic, welder, and fabricator with Ward Implement in Beach Grove for over 25 years.  He loved hunting groundhogs.  He collected remote control Army tanks.He was preceded in death by his parents.He is survived by his wife; Cheryl Coffman Lorenze of Beech Grove, his children; Mark Lorenze of Indiana, Jamie Lorenze of Indiana, Rick Gibson of Maryland, Dale Gibson of Texas, Dana Gibson of Indiana, Tonya John of Canada, Tony Gibson of Beech Grove, KY, Terry Gibson of Georgia, Angie (Sammy) Dukes of Hanson, KY, Josh (Amy) Smith of Franklin, KY, and Yolanda Gibson of Henderson, KY, his brother; John (Donna) Lorenze of Indiana, brothers-in-law; Glenn Coffman of Beech Grove, KY, Allen Coffman and companion Samantha Dukes of Sebree, KY, Donald (Sandra) Harmon of Henderson, KY, sisters-in-law Mary (Danny) Lykin of Robards, KY, Peggy (Richard) Hodkins of Elba, KY, Dawn (Jesse) Dukes of Sebree, KY, and Denny Harmon of Henderson, KY 11 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.Funeral services will be on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at 2:00 pm at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Sebree, KY. Bro. Chip Palmer will officiate.   Burial will be in Mt. Lebanon Cemetery in Sebree, KY with full military rites by American Legion Worhsam Post 40 of Henderson.  Visitation will be Sunday from 12-2 pm at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions can be made to Mt.
