George Edwin Mayo, Jr.

George Edwin Mayo, Jr., 70, of Henderson, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at home.

He was born in Lafayette, GA on January 9, 1955 to the late George Edwin Mayo Sr. and late Kathy (Taylor) Mayo.

George was retired from Azteca Milling Flour Mill in Henderson. He enjoyed gardening and grilling but especially loved being with his grandbabies.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, George Edwin “Eddie” Mayo III.

George is survived by his wife of 33 years, Kim (Westerman) Mayo; children, Misty Hartmire (Brandon) and Dustin Mayo (Candace); grandchildren, Grayson Mayo, Marleigh Mayo, Atlas Mayo, Dustin Trent, Natalie Tabor, Kade Tabor, Arabella Tabor, and Asher Hess; and sisters, Carolyn Ayers an Eve Barr.

Memorial visitation will be Friday, March 7 from 3-5 p.m. at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson.
