Ellis Powell

Ellis Powell Jr., 93, of Henderson, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022 at Redbanks Nursing Home in Henderson. He was born in Baskett, KY on June 19, 1928 to the late George Ellis Sr. and Nella Mae (Estes) Powell. He was a furniture refinisher and member of Airline Baptist Church. He enjoyed bowling and fishing. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lorene Powell; siblings, Roberta, Jenny, Wilma, Gean, Mickey, and Louise. He is survived by his son, Raymond Powell (Linda) of Evansville and stepson, Gary Powell of Henderson; sister, Rosie; grandson, Derek Powell Sr.; two great grandchildren, Derek Powell Jr. and Annelee Powell. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 18 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Monday, April 18 from 11 a.m. until service time. The family would like to send a special thank you to the staff at Redbanks Nursing Home.
