Georgia Lee Francis

Georgia Lee Francis, 78, of Henderson, passed away at 6:28 a.m. on Wednesday, December 14, 2022 at home under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Union County, KY to the late Roy Samuel and Edith Mae Piper.

Georgia worked for Glen Wood Furniture, and Walmart, from which she retired in 2017.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Francis Sr.; children, Janie Sauer and Dennis Francis Jr. and his companion, Tammy Morphew; son in law, Jamie Wilson; sisters and brothers.

Georgia is survived by her daughter, Patti Wilson; son, Jeff Francis (fiancée, Michelle Richmond); grandchildren, Tommy Givens Jr. (fiancée, Jessica Goad), Jessica Summers, Ashley Francis, and Drew Wilson; great grandchildren, Ma’Kel Taylor, Kinsleigh Givens, Skylin Givens, and Zayden Goad; son in law, Bruce Sauer Sr.; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, December 16 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson with Bro. Ricky Morphew officiating.

Burial will follow in Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson.

Visitation will be at the funeral home on Friday, December 16 from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.

Pallbearers will be Jody Purgeason, Jim Barron, Raymond McKinney, Jeff Francis, Paul Proffit, and Aaron Nally.
