Georgia Cunniff Stephens Georgia Cunniff Stephens age 87 of Earlington passed from this earthly life at 3:50 p.m. on Sunday 11-25-2012 at the Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. She was born January 14, 1925 to Lon and Winnie Jones Curneal. She was a homemaker and a devoted wife and mother who dearly loved her family. She was a committed member of the Earlington First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) where she served in many ways over her 50 years as a member there. She was a dedicated volunteer at the Madisonville Regional Medical Center for more than 20 years. She was a loving friend and helper to many especially the elderly members of the church. She was a wonderful cook and prepared many foods for others over the years. She was especially known for her pies, cakes and cookies. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years William H. Cunniff in 1996 and a daughter Marsha A. Korth in 2005. She is survived by her husband Charles Newton Stephens from a late in life marriage of Madisonville, two daughters Patricia J. Gamblin and her husband Bill of Henderson, Linda C. Mitchell and her husband Rick of Bowling Green, two sisters Anna Beth Kingery of Anton and Verda Williams of Mortons Gap, three grandchildren Garah Gamblin Wright and her husband Jon of Henderson, Katie Mitchell of New York NY and Drew Mitchell of Bowling Green and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday 11-30-12 at Reid-Walters Funeral Home with Bro. Kim Hudson officiating. Her burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Earlington. Her visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until her funeral on Friday at the funeral home. Instead of flowers contributions may be made to Earlington First Christian Church and
