Gerald Douglas Jones, 76 of Henderson, KY passed away at 4:25 AM, Friday May 23, 2014 at St. Anthony’s Hospice Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson. He was born in Henderson, KY on April 9, 1938 to the late Melvin and Lonell (Marshall) Jones. He was a member of the Operating Engineers Local 181 of Henderson. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson; Dwight Jones, 2 brothers; Paul and Harold Jones, 3 sisters, Shirley Husk, Christine Cook, and Margie Henderson. He is survived by 4 sons; Scott “ Bones” Jones of Henderson, KY Todd “Corky” Jones of Columbus, OH Daniel “Danny” Jones of Hodgenville, KY Gerald “Chubbs” Jones of Henderson, KY Companion of 22 years; Queenie Edwards of Henderson, KY Sister; Dorothy Jones of Henderson, KY Brother; Darrell Jones of Henderson, KY 5 granddaughters; Savannah Jones, Danielle Jones, Stephanie Pedigo, Jada Taylor, and Alexandria Jones 4 great grandchildren; Sylena, Sophia, Ryder and Jaxson Nieces and Nephews also survive Services will be held 6:00 PM Tuesday May 27, 2014 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Dr. Hollis Marshall will officiate. Burial will be in Smith Mills Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be Tuesday from 4:00 until 6:00 at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
