Gertie Lee Young

Gertie Lee Young, of Robards, formerly of Williamsburg, Kentucky passed away on September 23, 2023 at Redbanks Nursing Home surrounded by her family.

She was of the Christian faith and was a member of the former Pleasant Valley Christian Church in Robards.

In addition to her parents, Harrison and Laura Lawson of Williamsburg, Kentucky, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Young, son Larry Lee Young, four brothers and two sisters.

She is survived by her son, Ronald Young (Audrey) of Robards; granddaughters Shauna Russellburg (Charles) of Evansville, Stacey Kurtz (Doug) of Zion, Kentucky; one great-granddaughter, Abigail Stevens of Evansville; one brother, Verlin Lawson of Cresent Springs, Kentucky and numerous nieces and nephews.

Honoring her wishes, there will be a private graveside service held at Fernwood Cemetery with Bro. Jonathan Keyes officiating.

The family would like to thank the staff of Redbanks, especially the Harbor Unit and the hospice nurses, for their kindness and the love and compassion shown to us and our loved one.
