Gladys Prather Pickett

Gladys Lee (Daniel) Prather Pickett, 98 of Slaughters, KY passed away at 1:55 PM Thursday March 20, 2014 at Hamilton Pointe in Newburgh. She was born March 31, 1915 in Ashbyburg, KY to the late Ray and Thusie (Branson) Daniel. She was a graduate of Slaughters High School and a member of Slaughters United Methodist Church. She had worked at Baker and Hickman Department Store in Madisonville. She was a loving Mother, Grandmother, Aunt and friend to many. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Chester Lee Prather. She is survived by 2 daughters; Leigh Prather Baldwin of Evansville, IN Chris Prather Horne of Sarasota, FL 3 Grandsons; Alex Baldwin, Robert J. Horne II, Chet Prather Horne. 5 Great Grandchildren; Robert Benjamin Horne, Rachel Ann Horne, Nathanael Lee Horne, Heather Nicole Horne and Brittany Marie Horne. 2 sisters; Katherine Stone Stevens Mariana Williams Rhew Both of Madisonville, Ky 1 Brother; Ben Daniel of Corydon, IN Services will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday March 23, 2014 at Slaughters United Methodist Church. Pastor Jim Keegan will officiate. Burial will be in Slaughters Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 3:00 until 7:00 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Slaughters-Hanson Chapel and Sunday from 1:00 PM until service time at the church.
