Glenda Fay Cunningham

Glenda Cunningham, 86, of Owensboro, passed away peacefully Monday, March 25, 2024, at Owensboro Regional Hospital.

She was born July 23, 1937, in Henderson, Ky. to the late Frank W. And Willie E. Rucks.

She was a member of First Freewill Baptist Church in Owensboro and looked forward to being with Jesus and family.

Before her retirement in 2017, she was employed by Rite Aid for 17 years. Prior to her employment there she worked as a Senior Tax Preparer for H & R Block for 15 years.

She enjoyed spending time with Katie, her beautiful cocker-spaniel and companion whom she loved dearly. Growing flowers and working in her yard were her favorite hobbies. She enjoyed playing duplicate bridge and was a member of the ACBL. She is a Kentucky Colonel and enjoyed watching UK basketball games.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Woodrow Rucks, Aaron Rucks, Itala Cheatham, Bee Brackett and Dottie Fowler and nephews.

She is survived by one nephew and nieces.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Thursday, March 28, 2024, at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel with Pastor Tim Hall officiating.

Visitation will be 12:00 PM until service time at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery, Henderson, Ky.
