Glenn Durr Roberts, 89, of Corydon, KY passed away on January 15, 2017 at Lucy Smith King Care Center in Henderson, KY. He was born on December 14, 1927 in Providence, KY. He was a member of the Legion of Honor of Rizpah Shriners, Masonic Lodge #9 in Henderson, KY, American Legion Worsham Post #40 for 63 years, a Kentucky Colonel, Machinist Union #808, a veteran of World War II and Korean War and worked and retired from Whirlpool Corp. after 42 years of service. He is preceded in death by his parents Stephan Edward and Cora Lillian (Dorris) Roberts and 3 brothers. He is survived by his wife of 63 years Dorothy Hudson Roberts of Cairo, KY; 2 sons: Timmy (Sheila) Roberts of Henderson, KY and Karl (Louise) Roberts of Aquasco, MA; 2 daughters: Debe (Reese) Hornback of Princeton, IN and Annie (Troy) Buchanan; 2 sisters: Rachel Stone of Fl and Dorothy Ellen Alvey of Cario, KY; 3 grandchildren: Kristi Morris, Jacob Buchanan, and Steven Alexander Roberts; 4 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson on Thursday January 19, 2017 at 11:00AM with Rev. Rick O'Daniel officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday 4:00-8:00PM and Thursday 9:00AM- service time. Burial will be at Fairmont Cemetery in Henderson, KY. Pallbearers will be Tommy Roberts, Brian Alvey, Michael Alvey, Jack Buckman, Jeff Finley, and Terry Buchanan. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Shriners Hospital, St. Anthonys Hospice, or Corydon Missionary Baptist Church.
