Gregory Powell Fridy

Gregory Powell Fridy, 66 of Robards, KY passed away Monday July 19, 2021 at his residence under the care of St. Anthony’s Hospice. He was born in Henderson, KY on September 21, 1954 to Emojean (Moneymaker) Fridy Pennington and the late C.B. “Skeet” Fridy. Greg was a 40 Year retiree riverboat Captain with Ohio Valley Marine. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, collecting guns and target shooting. Greg is survived by his wife of 48 years, Susan (King) Fridy, mother, Emojean (Moneymaker) Fridy Pennington of Onton, KY, 2 sons; Trent Douglas Fridy and Jacob Powell Fridy both of Robards, Brother Charles E. (Gloria) Martin of Lexington, KY, sister; Kathy Crowley of Onton, KY, grandchildren; Alexis Dale Fridy, Tanner Powell Fridy and Coy Jacob Eli Fridy, several nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 AM Thursday July 22, 2021 at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Sebree, KY. Brother Bret Eblen will officiate.Burial will follow in Onton Cemetery in Onton, KY. Visitation will be Wednesday July 21st from 5:00 until 8:00 and Thursday July 22nd from 9:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Chad Woodard, Dave Perez, Rodney Hill, Keith Crowley, Jeremy Pugh and Randy Beck. Honorary Pallbearers will be Charlie Greenwald, Wayne Stull, Greg Edwards and Danny Simon and Tommy Joe Fridy. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Anthony’s Hospice.
