Gregory Kenneth Swearer

Gregory “Greg” Swearer, 72, of Spottsville, Ky, passed away on June 27, 2025, surrounded by his family, to his heavenly home after a long fight.

He was born in Henderson, Ky, on February 21, 1953, to the late Kenneth and Sue Swearer.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister Deena Swearer Bugg.

He is survived by his daughters, Melissa Martinez, Kendra Swearer; son, Nathan Swearer; grandchildren, Kelsey Patmore, Kayla Cole, Kammie McClure, Ezekiel Swearer, Riley Swearer, Blakely Swearer, and Kenley Swearer; 13 great-grandchildren; and his sister, Cindy Pruden.

Greg was a loving father, grandfather, and friend. He had a big heart full of love, with a little temper on the side. He worked for Ironworkers Union Local 103 as a young man until he had an injury that caused early retirement. Greg was a devoted Christian and a longtime member of Spottsville Baptist church for many years.

He loved fishing, hunting, and watching wrestling- both on tv and live matches. If wrestling wasn’t on you could find him watching Gunsmoke or Bonanza.

Visitation will be Wednesday, July 2, 2025, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, Ky from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, at 1:00 PM, at the funeral home with Pastor Mark Cole officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
