Guy Leon Hogan, 83, of Henderson, passed away on Monday, August 12, 2024, at Deaconess Midtown Hospital. Born in Owensboro, Guy was the son of the late Jesse Franklin Hogan and Gladys May (Hamilton) Hogan.
Guy retired from Peabody Coal, where he worked as a dedicated coal miner. He was an avid Kentucky Wildcats fan and had a passion for racing. Above all, Guy was a devoted PaPa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Guy was preceded in death by his siblings Vivian Howard, Gloria Bruce, Wanda Parker, Frances Eades, Delores Hatfield, Junior Hogan, Jay Hogan, Donald Hogan, and Herbert Hogan, as well as his son-in-law Ronnie White.
Guy is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Frances Hogan; his children Richard Leon Hogan, Gladys May White (Brad Eastwood), David Wayne Hogan (Lori), and Joy Yvonne Haner; grandchildren Crystal Candler (Nick), Aaron Hogan, Alyssa Shayne Haner, and Bradley River Haire; great-grandchildren Alexis Glassco (Layne), Korbin Candler, and Sienna Rae Castellanos; great-great-grandson Rylan Dale Glassco; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, August 15, 2024, at Tomblinson Funeral Home in Henderson, with Brother Nathan Whisnant officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, at the funeral home, and from 9:00 AM until service time on Thursday.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
