Ray “Papa Ray” McCormick, Sr., 77 of Robards passed away Tuesday January 10, 2012 at his residence. He was born September 9, 1934 in Henderson Co. to Pate and Mildred Love (Gish) McCormick. He was retired from Kargas Furniture in Evansville, IN and also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his farm and family, holding his grandbabies. and the company of his 2 dogs. He was a faithful father and husband. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Georgia Lee McCormick, daughter Dorothy Jean McCormick, 2 brothers Donald Hugh and Lee Allan McCormick, and twin sister Faye Shelton Stanley. He is survived by his son Hal Ray McCormick Jr. and wife Lisa of Robards, KY Brother: Louis McCormick of Murfreesboro, TN 3 Sisters: Dorothy Puttman of Henderson, KY Patsy English of Hebbardsville, KY Nettie Jean Rudy of Mt. Vernon, IN 7 Grandchildren: Leanne West, Bobby Gray, Cathy Simpson, Kelly Knode, Howie 22McCormick III, Amanda Hobbs and Jennifer King 2 Step Grandchildren: Joe Divietro and Tara Divietro 20 Great-Grandchildren 1 Step Great-Granddaughter 3 Great Great Grandchildren Nieces and Nephews Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday January 13, 2012 at Tomblinson Funeral Home Henderson Chapel. Bro. Jerry Pearcy will officiate. Visitation will be Thursday 3-8PM and Friday 10AM until service time. Burial will be in Fernwood Cemetery in Henderson. Pallbearers will be Jeff Puttman, Butch Puttman, Jody Puttman, Hugh McCormick, Bill Shelton and Rodney “Yogi” Pattman. Honorary Pallbearers will be Pate McCormick and Braeden Hobbs.
